Perhaps the most spectacular sight of the Narrabri Shire is Mt Kaputar National Park. Here, there is a huge range of activities for the outdoors lover including bushwalking, camping and sight seeing. From the mountains highest point of 1511 metres there are 360-degree views encompassing one tenth of NSW.
Narrabri Shire is home to the Australian Cotton Centre. With its interactive exhibits, 3D theatrette and cotton picker it really is a must see for the whole family.

Nandewar Ranges, are the remnants of a volcano which was active 17-20 million years ago. It rises abruptly from the surrounding plains to a height of 1,510 metres at Mount Kaputar. |
